What is load cell calibration?

Load cell calibration verifies that a load-monitoring device reads true against a known reference, with results traceable to national standards. On a drilling rig, accurate load measurement is safety-critical — it protects the derrick, the crew and the well. GasOil performs calibration both in-house and offshore/onsite, with full traceability to national reference standards (NPL UK; NATA Australia). Certificates are additionally issued to the standards of ABS, USCG, DNV, Bureau Veritas and others as required.
